busy.

dear fleur.

we are planning a benefit concert for an orphanage this weekend. i think i went crazy 4 hours ago. i feel like i have so much to do. and ria has been playing our ears off with that kazoo of her's. thanks a lot nat. (wink).

it is kirsten's birthday in 8 days. and i know just what i'm going to get her. it is so cuteeeeee. sort of. in a non-cute but kind of really way. it's the idea that is cute.

i start teaching this coming week. we were on break. now it's back to lesson plans and all that jazz. monday and wednesday nights are filled people.
and we took a babysitting job on tuesdays. so i really won't be going anywhere after dinner. i'll be chasing children and teaching proper sidekicks.

necklaces are stalled lately. but i am pondering shop names. something like, "bellananci" or "nancibell". i don't know. they look kind of weird put together. but i like the way they sound.
sometimes i think way too hard.

mandy is using flora in the kitchen right now. she has this lovely brocade that i want to make into a pencil skirt. i am so tempted to snag a yard or two. but it is her's. oh my. the woes of sisterhood and fabric. maybe she'll share?

banana bread at the table. loveeeee itttttt.

love bell.

tandy and i have been spending a lotttttt of time together. i like it. i love my little sister. sunday we counted cars and dreamed of ice cream and went to church. today we went to track and talked and went for a walk in our pajamas. this weekend we're going to the
beach.
i think i just might die. we will definitely be taking lots of pictures. at my favourite place in the world. with my dear, dear sister. who drives me crazy. and is so adorable. and we will probably do cartwheels in the sand. or something amazing like that.
i am so dang happy.
and i don't even say dang.

love, bella.

post script: i have been hand-sewing my fingers off. love it.

Flighty girl.

Dear Fleur.
I feel like being a random flighty little girl today. Sounds like a plan.
Here we go.

I curled my hair this morning. And burned my left ear in the process.
I'm almost done reading Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day. And I started it this morning. And I'm already in love with it. AND I WANT TO BE WINIFRED WATSON.
My toenails are plum coloured.
We have mango salsa from Costco&Kettle chips. Yum.
My little brother decided that he's "fat."
I want to sew all day.
New story in my head. Outline: Fat girl. Not-fat boy falls in love with her. Chinese take-out. French cuisine. Chocolate cake. Traditional Italian pizza. In the kitchen. Loving yourself. Jogging. Thin girl with a sweet heart. Jealousy. All ends well over pasta.
Cold fingers.
Wanting a little yellow bird.
Madly in love with the idea of street soccer today. But no such luck.
Gavin DeGraw.
& nice lighting.

Taste of what's in my mouth with those chips and salsa:
"Miss Pettigrew didn't like Michael. She wanted Miss LaFosse to get married. Marriage was her best safeguard. But somehow or other it hadn't to be an ordinary marriage. She didn't want an ordinary marriage for Miss LaFosse. She wanted something happy and romantic and brilliant."
-Miss Pettigrew lives For A Day: by Winifred Watson.

Told you I would be random.
Now I'm off to sit on my kitchen floor and indulge in chocolate muffins and 1% milk.
No, I don't think I'm fat. They were out of 2%.

Love from Bella.

Heureux&content.

Dear Fleur.
Today is nice. The sun decided to peek out. I missed him. He is a dear friend. Worth every ounce of wishful thinking.
I am in a good writing mood today.

Her legs were crossed. In that particular way that meant she was happy. That she was content. And she was at the moment. Heureux&content. A good duo.
Her hair was poofy. It was a big hair day. She didn't exactly feel in mood for poofy hair, but she just piled it up on her head and was satisfied. Her hair wasn't something she could exactly control. It had a life of its own. And it was stubborn.
She wore a little skirt her older sister had sewn. High on her waist with a yellow striped shirt tucked in it. It felt like she was wearing summer. All over herself. A little pearl hung around her throat. And her feet were bare. Maybe that was what made her feel like she was wearing summer. Her bare feet. But then again, she was always barefoot.
Her head was wishing for a French boy.
But there wasn't one.
So she just went to get her French flash cards out. And practice. Saying things like 'je t'aime'&'frere'&'petite.'
And she was heureux&content once more.

I like you sun.
And I like the way I'm writing today.
Love from Bella.
